To be awarded the CPC40920 Certificate IV in Plumbing and Services, competency must be achieved in 15 units, comprising:
- 10 core units
- 5 elective units
For the Hydraulic Services Design stream:
- 5 elective units must be selected from Group A.
- Up to 2 elective units may be replaced by units from other nationally recognised qualifications at Certificate IV level or higher, provided they do not duplicate content.
- Electives cannot be chosen from Group B.
For the Operations stream:
- At least 1 elective must be from Group B.
- The remaining 4 electives can be chosen from Group A or Group B.
- Up to 2 units may be replaced by relevant Certificate IV or higher units from other accredited courses.
